Hello, our names are Chloe & Deklan and together we are CL Paints. The company name stemmed from Chloe’s name as the business was her idea. The letter ‘C’ stands for Chloe, and the letter ‘L’ stands for Lauren, Chloe’s middle name. Chloe is qualified in Makeup & Hair and prosthetics and does all the fabulous face painting and designs you guys see. Deklan runs everything behind the scenes from payments to the accounts and booking system.

Chloe has a grade A in art for GCSE combined with Makeup & Hair is a very good combination. Chloe had a vision of going to Delamar Academy of Makeup & Hair, London with the end goal of working on film sets as a MUA (Make Up Artist). In Chloe’s spare time she would apply Makeup on herself using a mirror for hours on end. Unfortunately, Chloe could not attend the prestigious college of Delamar Academy due to falling pregnant in 2023. Some of the chemicals are not suitable for pregnant women but this has never stopped Chloe’s passion for Makeup. However, our son is perfect for trying out our new face painting designs on as he loves the attention.

In 2021 Chloe had the opportunity to work with Mamma Mia The Musical UK and International Tour at Hardwood House, Leeds. Whilst working with the tour Chloe was able to meet the cast and crew and work alongside them backstage and front of house. Due to Chloe being qualified in Makeup and Hair she was able to work with the Wigs/Hair team backstage. Due to Covid, it was the first musical to be preforming from the West End so emotions were high.

In Deklan’s spare time he works at the local ice rink and enjoys teaching people how to skate. He has previously played ice hockey and likes to keep the sport close to him. He has always wanted to run his own business and with the help of Chloe this has been made possible. Within the leisure company Deklan works for, he has been a qualified lifeguard since 2019 and through this has done additional course for safeguarding adults and children. Since becoming a lifeguard Deklan has been trained in emergency first aid and dealt with numerous incidents some of which has been life threatening.
